everything on this video is amazing man! We wouldnt mind longform content as long as you're the one teaching it honestly! How's the experience with using the S5iix? been meaning to jump ship from Fuji to Lumix..
Thanks a lot for the feedback! 🙌 I will venture into longer form video after this six lessons. I've been a Lumix user for more than 10 years, so I'm quite familiar with it (I started using m4/3 sensors and jumped into full frame two years ago with the S5). I wasn't happy with the autofocus from the S5 and decided to buy the S5ii (I do not have the "X" version). Since then I'm quite happy with the performance of the camera. The V-Log footage is quite fun and flexible to grade! I never tried Fuji though :/

@@AqworldsAuildere The rolling shutter never bothered me (I don't usually have very fast camera movements though). I am very happy changing to full frame!

This is great advice, even if it hadn't been illustrated with a perfect example. Learning solos played on other instruments forces us to get out of our "guitarisms", -- as nice as they can be when well-played -- and this sax solo is a great choice, but one of virtually countless others from piano, sax and other instruments.
Hi! You are right! I intend to make other videos where I also explain what I've learned from this solo in detail. For example: - Importance of articulation and phrasing giving it sometimes a "singing quality" (very hard to replicate on the guitar. I used a combination of microbendings and whammy bar). - The solo has a beautiful arch. Starting low and soft -> intense and high -> low again. - Simplicity and constrains. (No guitarist would start a solo slowly repeating a single note... ) - Some notes were quite "out of tune" :) it was hard to match the intonation (which makes it lively as well). Very fun to give different tuning colors to notes.
